Animal studies focus mainly on the repair of tissue and tendons, on the formation of new blood vessels and on the condition of the gastrointestinal lining. Why is BPC-157 known for repair?
The abbreviation stands for "Body Protection Compound", and that name sums up what the research turns on. The peptide is thought to have a hand in the repair of tendons, muscles and the gastrointestinal tract; that assumption rests almost entirely on animal studies. It is a small, stable molecule derived from a substance that occurs naturally in gastric juice.
Along which route would that run?
Animal studies point towards blood vessel formation. BPC-157 is thought to get the laying down of new blood vessels (angiogenesis) going and to move repair cells to the right place, which would let tendons, ligaments and muscles recover faster. Protection of the lining of the stomach and gut has also been looked at. Those two tracks together explain the broad interest. Nearly all of that material comes from animal models.
What is known about tolerability?
On this point BPC-157 has a favourable name in research: animal studies reported few adverse effects. In humans hard data is missing, simply because no large clinical studies have been done.

In repair research these two names often fall together. Both are studied for tissue repair, but via a different route, which is why they are sometimes placed alongside each other. TB-500 is available separately, and in the stack builder you can put the combination together yourself.
Vial or capsule: what is the difference?
